Attendance at the Dublin Irish Festival began to skyrocket, bringing an era of expansion and allure. Activities and interests diversified as the Festival added sporting events, rock bands and more.

A genealogical exhibit from the Franklin County Genealogical Society was added. Cherish the Ladies performed for the first time. A Reddest Hair, Greenest Eyes and Most Freckles Contest was held.
The two-day Festival featured performers, dancers and storytellers. The 5K was added. Cultural workshops were held in the Dublin Municipal Building and an area for Ceili dance lessons was added.
Hurricane Erin blew through the Festival on Saturday and canceled all Sunday activities. An international soccer game attracted 1,500 spectators. Sunday Services and a corporate Blarney Battle were scheduled to be held on Sunday but were canceled due to the storm.
The Festival expanded to three days and a third stage was added. A soccer game between the Shamrock Rovers from Dublin, Ireland, and the USISL All-Stars was held at Dublin Coffman High School. The legendary Tommy Makem performed for the first time.
The Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary. Celtic rock bands performed at the Festival for the first time. Denny Lynch was chosen as the first Honorary Chair. The Columbus Feis, an Irish dance competition, had 800 participants — the most ever!
